The Sweep project was introduced first in Singapore in 1969. It was popularly known as the Singaporean Sweep project which was used to raise funds for building Singapore’s first National Stadium. Each ticket only cost 1 dollar, and the grand prize was for 400,000 dollars, which was comparatively a large amount of money back then. This project helped raise $ 14.5 million in four consecutive years and thus resulted in a grand successful plan.

This idea was then implemented by the Usaha Tegas Sdn Bhd group, led by the chairman and billionaire Ananda Krishnan Tatparanandam. Previously the allocated money used to be given as grants or scholarships. In 2015 Yu Chai Foundation was established by the Usaha Tegas Sdn Bdh group, and the surplus amount of donation received every year is donated to the YCF organization to help charitable children to pursue their education.

The first draw was conducted in 1989 March. Over 400 draw tickets were bought, and to this date up to 2.8 billion draw tickets have been sold all over Malaysia.

The Other prize section contains 6 prizes, 3 for matching last 2 digit numbers and 3 for matching last 1 digit number. Prizes start from 100 RM and end at 3 RM.

How to check Big Sweep results?

Big Sweep results are first given on www.bigsweep.com.my. The results of draws are announced everywhere in Malaysia and published on the following day. Results are also available on the Big Sweep app which you can easily download from the Google play store. Happy prizes, lucky prizes, and bonus prizes are all announced individually along with the numbers for each winner. Every year for each draw, a total of 7 million draw tickets are printed to sell.
